How to grow a Vlog channel on YouTube?

1. Find a Hook Value

So if you have already a vlog channel or want to start, I would recommend trying to think of a different value that you can give that would hook viewers into wanting them to keep getting that value from you, but through the process the value that they want for themselves, they will start to like you, they will start to trust you, and then the relationship value can grow then over time.

The key to doing that is to make every video you make delivers the same hook value, which may be for you is going to be about some beauty stuff or maybe it’s going to be about family stuff, or whatever it may be.

Whatever the value is, you’ve got to offer that consistently in every video so that viewers keep coming back to watch your videos, and then the relational value you can build with your audience and grow over time.

2. Be consistent

You have to publish a new video on your channel regularly, consistently, and predictably so that your viewers know when to come back to your channel and expect more content from you.

Otherwise, that relationship between you and your audience that you are trying to build is just a kind of hit or miss, and anytime they watch one of your videos it’s more likely an accident rather than intentionally seeking out.

3. Craft a Good Story

A lot of top YouTubers are also really good storytellers. They know how to craft a good story they start it with a good hook and lead to like a climax of some sort of conflict or some sort of issue that then has a short period of resolution on the other end.

It’s kind of a normal story arc that you will see in pretty much every TV show or movie that you watch. So make sure you are doing your best to be really good, engaging stories.

4. Show more than you tell

This is really a big mistake that every vlogger does, that they just sit down. they will tell us about something more than they actually show us. This is especially true if you’re like a family vlogger or something.

Don’t just like come and sit on the couch and say, hey guys, here’s what I did today, or “my day was really awesome”. For some of you, that might be totally appropriate, and it especially depends on what you’re doing.

But whenever possible, always appreciate the creator is including me in the experience by bringing me along like I’m hanging out with them and sharing that experience with them, rather than me just coming to their house and being like “ hey give me a report, what you just did today”. I know that’s not always possible and it’s not even always appropriate.

But when you do it, do your best to make the viewer feel like they are also included in the story, not just like a spectator or just listening to a report about it.

5. Watch more vlogs

I think it’s really important for you to watch other vloggers and just kind of pay attention to what they do and how they do it.

The reason why I recommended that you guys watch a lot of other vloggers is because it’s said that the best authors also read a lot of books. And so it’s like the more you read, the better writer you become. I think it’s the same with YouTube. The more videos you watch, the better YouTuber you become.

I know a lot of you guys here have watched tons of videos on YouTube, may you guys are also vloggers. You’ve learned a lot. So definitely share in the comments section below some more advice and tips you have for someone who is having a vlogging channel.
